NWSRA leads the nation as the largest Special Recreation Association, and is home to innovative programming including the Snoezelen Sensory Rooms, PURSUIT Community Adult Day Program and more! SLSF and NWSRA staff hold certifications including:

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP), Direct Service Professional (DSP) and Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP)

These certifications demonstrate their commitment to the profession while providing continued education on the latest trends in the field of Therapeutic Recreation. Throughout the year, staff present related topics on local, state and national levels, and serve as a resource to other agencies looking to enhance or expand their Therapeutic Recreation programming
